Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Can I know what to do if I have faint pain on the right side of my abdomen? Also, I have hard stools, difficulty in pooping (sometimes normal and sometimes hard to pass stools), frequent burping, farting and bloating. I drink almost 10 glasses of water everyday. I am not taking any medicines at present. Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Having pain in the right side of the abdomen in the lower quadrant in a young person is suggestive of any renal stone or appendicitis. We need to rule out these conditions.

You might be having constipation. For that, I suggest you the following measures-

1. You must drink plenty of oral fluids.

2. You must consume a high-fiber diet. You must change your dietary habits.

3. You can take stool softener syrup.

4. I suggest you get an ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis. You can consult a nearby surgeon for evaluation of the reports.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
