Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have carefully read your symptoms and reviewed the X-ray report (the attachments were removed to protect the patient's identity) you shared, and I understand why this situation feels worrying.

Your chest X-ray shows homogenous opacification. Around each lung, there is a thin space, and on your left side, this space has become filled with a significant amount of fluid.

When fluid collects there, the lung cannot expand properly, which commonly causes a persistent cough and pain in the ribs, especially on deep breathing or coughing.

This also explains why your symptoms have not settled on their own over the past month. The most important point is that this fluid needs to be evaluated directly. Until some of it is removed and tested, it is not possible to know the exact cause or to treat it correctly.

Such fluid is most often due to infections like pneumonia or tuberculosis, and so on. I would strongly advise you to go to a hospital and consult a chest physician. You may need to be admitted so the fluid can be safely drained and sent for tests.

Based on those results, the right medicines can be started, rather than guessing or delaying care. Please do not panic. This is a manageable condition, but it does require timely, proper treatment in a hospital setting.

Getting evaluated now will help you recover faster and prevent further discomfort.

I hope this helps you.

For more queries, you can reach out to me anytime. I am here to help you.

Thank you.
