Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a 25-year-old female and believe I have either been suffering from the flu or COVID over the last two weeks. Today, I suddenly became dizzy, lightheaded, extremely nauseous, and weak. My vision was a bit blurry, and my body became so weak and heavy that I could not move at all for about five to 10 minutes.
The overall feeling of weakness, dizziness, and nausea lasted for an hour. I am not pregnant, have no other medical issues besides asthma, and don’t take any medications except for my inhalers.
Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I can understand your concern.
I am very sorry to hear about your medical condition, and I am glad that you are paying attention to changes in your body. Do not worry, I am here to take care of you. Regarding your symptoms, I believe you have developed a systemic illness that may be caused by a viral flu. I do not think it is COVID-19. Have you received any flu, COVID-19, or other immunizations recently?
I suggest you kindly get a PCR test for the influenza virus or coronavirus, and let me know the results. Also, please do a CBC, malaria, and Widal test, as well as urine and blood culture tests, and send me the results.
In the meantime, please take the following medications: 1 g of injection Ceftriaxone to start, followed by 500 mg Ciprofloxacin twice a day for two weeks, 800 mg Acyclovir twice a day for one week, and 220 mg Ferrous sulfate three times a day for one month. If you have any further concerns or questions, feel free to schedule a direct appointment or follow up.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
