Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My 5-year-old child tested COVID positive a week before. She is in house quarantine and has stuffy nose with cough. Can I send her to school after five days of quarantine?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Children take a week to recover completely depending on the immune status and general wellbeing.

1. Your child needs two to three days rest to relieve from the symptoms.

2. Monitor the oxygen saturation of your child using pulse oximeter for a few days.

3. Provide adequate nutrition for your child.

4. Provide plenty of liquids to your child to stay hydrated.

5. I suggest tablet Montelukast 10 mg and tablet Fexofenadine 120 mg.

Consult a pediatrician for further examination.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
