Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
My five-year-old child tested positive for COVID-19 a week before. She is in house quarantine and has a stuffy nose with a cough. Can I send her to school after five days of quarantine?
Please advise.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Children take a week to recover completely, depending on their immune status and general well-being. Your child needs two to three days of rest to relieve the symptoms. Monitor the oxygen saturation of your child using a pulse oximeter for a few days.
Provide adequate nutrition for your child. Provide plenty of liquids for your child to stay hydrated. I suggest tablet Montelukast 10 mg and tablet Fexofenadine 120 mg. Consult your specialist doctor and then take the medicines.
Consult a pediatrician for further examination.
I hope this helps you.
Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
