Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I just got my braces off but I still have a crossbite. My dentist said it would be fixed as I grew up. Is that normal?
Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and can understand your concern.
I am a maxillofacial surgeon. You can share your intraoral pictures or X-rays with me so I can assess and confirm whether your dentist's diagnosis is accurate. At 19 years of age, the bone structure and teeth alignment are typically well-established, making it unlikely for a crossbite to correct itself without orthodontic intervention. Let me review the images to guide you better and provide my professional opinion.
Revert with the answer to assist further.
Thank you, and take care.
Regards.
