Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your query and understand your concern.

At one year of age, not yet walking independently can still be within the normal range, as many children start walking between 12 and 18 months.

However, I would like to know whether your son can sit without support, crawl, pull himself to stand, and cruise along furniture, as these milestones help assess his motor development.

Regarding the teeth, some children get their first teeth later than others, and a few may not have any teeth by 12 months. However, if there are still no teeth and there is also concern about delayed motor milestones, I would recommend a pediatric evaluation.

I also noticed that the weight entered is 4.08 kg (9 pounds), which is unlikely for a one-year-old child and may be a data entry error, since you mentioned his weight is 9 kg (19.8 pounds).

Please confirm his current weight and tell me:

  1. Was he born full-term or premature?

  2. Can he sit, crawl, and stand while holding furniture?

  3. Does he have any medical problems or feeding difficulties?

  4. Has he received vitamin D supplementation?

A pediatric examination may be needed. Depending on the findings, your doctor may consider checking vitamin D, calcium, phosphorus, alkaline phosphatase, and thyroid function.

Overall, not walking independently and not having teeth at exactly 12 months do not necessarily mean there is a serious problem, but if they do warrant closer assessment.

I hope I have answered your question.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thank you.
