Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am a 29-year-old female. I am apprehensive about my health. I do not know what is happening to me. I feel like my mind is not working correctly. I went to a psychiatrist, and he diagnosed me with depression. I took medicine for it, but I did not recover. I was a brilliant and ambitious student who was very happy with my life. But now I am not able to do little tasks. I cannot think and feel appropriately. It seems like my brain does not function well. Please guide me on what I should do. Due to this condition, I think of committing suicide. How can I get better? Please help.
Thanks.
Hello,
Welcome to iclinq.com.
I understand your concern.
As per mentioned symptoms, you are in severe depression. As you have suicidal thoughts also so better to start treatment again. If not improved, then there is a need to change medicine. Also, if you have severe suicidal thoughts, you can go for ECT (electroconvulsive therapy). With treatment, start psychotherapy for a better understanding of your problem. Start some physical exercise at least 45 minutes a day.
I hope this information will help you.
Thank you
