Suicidal Thoughts

Suicidal thoughts, also called suicidal ideation, occur when the person suffers from stress, psychological, or physical disorders. It comprises the thoughts and detailed plan but does not include the act of suicide. Suicidal thoughts are manifested by intolerance, loss of hope, mood shifts, increased alcohol and drug consumption, agitation, sleep pattern changes, panic attacks, impaired concentration, self-criticism, isolation, psychomotor agitation, etc. Talking with friends and close ones, a balanced diet, regular exercise, adequate sleep, counseling, etc., help manage suicidal intentions.
