How to treat grade 2 dysplastic nevi on the lips?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have grade 2 dysplastic nevi on my lips, which often become itchy, scaly, and red, with occasional peeling. To alleviate symptoms, I apply eczema cream and take antihistamine tablets. Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

We feel glad that you reached out to us.

Laser treatment is available for the removal of nevi or moles. I suggest some recommendations:

  1. Apply Petrolatum jelly at night for ten days.

  2. Use hydrating lip balm.

  3. Apply Photostable sunscreen 30 minutes before going outdoors.

  4. Take one tablet of Antoxid HC (Manganese 2 mg, zinc 27.5 mg, beta carotene 30 mg, copper 1 mg, and L-Selenium 200 mcg) after dinner daily for 30 days.

  5. Avoid prolonged sun exposure and use necessary sun protection measures.

  6. Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.

  7. Consume a diet rich in antioxidants, zinc, Omega-3 fatty acids, and vitamins A or C.

  8. Avoid lip licking or biting.

  9. Manage stress effectively.

Kindly consult a specialist, talk to them, and take the medications with their consent.

I hope this helps.

Kindly revert so I can assist you further.

Thank you.
