Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
What are the signs and symptoms of dyspraxia in a 6-year-old boy? Kindly explain.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Signs of dyspraxia include:
1. The child will have difficulty in doing fine actions like writing with a pencil, tying shoelaces, eating with a spoon, etc.
2. Also, the normal day-to-day activities of a healthy child that can be achieved at the age of 6 years may not be achieved by a child with dyspraxia (developmental disorder).
3. You will find that the child separates himself or herself from the other normal children of the same age group due to the feeling of incapability.
It is advisable to seek a pediatric neurologist's opinion for the same.
I hope that you get your answer.
Please let me know if you need any help.
Thank you.
