Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

During pregnancy, it is very important to avoid self-medicating for an ear infection, as some antibiotics and pain relievers may not be safe for you or your baby. Based on your symptoms, including severe ear pain, pain when opening your mouth, and headache, you may have a significant middle or outer ear infection that requires prompt medical attention.

While mild ear drops like Ofloxacin are sometimes considered safe in pregnancy, the appropriate treatment will depend on the exact cause of the infection, whether it is bacterial, fungal, or related to sinus or ear canal inflammation.

For pain relief, Paracetamol (Acetaminophen) is generally considered safe during pregnancy. However, stronger pain medications or antibiotics should only be used after a thorough medical examination.

Given the severity of your symptoms and the fact that you are pregnant, I strongly recommend seeing an ENT specialist or your obstetrician as soon as possible. They can assess your condition and prescribe medication that is both effective and safe during pregnancy.

In the meantime, avoid inserting anything into the affected ear, keep it dry, and only take Paracetamol if needed for pain until you are reviewed by a healthcare professional.

I hope this helps.

Kindly revert if there are any queries.

Thank you.
