Does deep ear wax cause a loss of balance?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am suffering from deep wax buildup in my ear, causing a serious loss of balance, and I want to remove it. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern. Ear wax removal is a procedure done by water syringing, and it can be done only in person. Syringing is the best method to remove wax, as it is safe and convenient. So I suggest you meet an ENT specialist and get it done. The procedure is very inexpensive and can be done by all the ENT specialists. I would also like to know if the ear wax is visible or if there is any heaviness. But If you still have balance disturbances, I suggest you take the following medication. Tablet Vertin (betahistine) 8 mg once after the meal. I hope this helps. Thank you and take care. Regards.
