Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 18 years old and worried that I am pregnant. I have the following symptoms:

  1. My tummy hurts.
  2. I get thick discharge and white clots, and sometimes, I find blood in my underwear.
  3. I get headaches and dizzy.
  4. I sleep a lot and pee.
  5. My back hurts, and I smell a lot of stuff.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

No one can diagnose pregnancy confidently just due to these non-specific symptoms. These symptoms can also be seen during the second half of normal periods following vaginal infections or altered hormonal status, which is common in a young lady of 18 years. Only by 19 to 21 years are your hormones fully at normal levels.

So, instead of imagining the possibilities, I would suggest you have a home urine pregnancy test the next day of the missed period. Use the early morning sample of urine. It gives clear results. If the results are doubtful or you are not satisfied, have serum beta human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG). It can diagnose the smallest of pregnancies in the body.

Hope I have clarified your query. Do write back if you have any more queries.

All the best.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
