Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I noticed a spot on my leg that is irregularly shaped, slightly darker than the rest of my leg. It is not a mole, it does not hurt or itch, and it is not raised. The spot remains the same since I noticed it. I am just wondering if this is something of concern?
Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have gone through your query and reviewed the attached photograph (attachments removed to protect the patient’s identity).
It looks like a patch of mild eczema associated with dry skin. I would recommend applying Cortisone cream (Hydrocortisone) to the affected area twice daily, and using a moisturizer on the entire leg twice daily for two weeks, then reverting. Avoid harsh soaps and keep your skin moisturized.
I hope this helps you.
Kind regards.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Thank you for the response.
I always thought eczema to be dry or itchy.
Thank you for alleviating my concern.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
This is not related to cancer. Use Cortisone cream and moisturizer to get relief.
Kind regards.
