Does watching too much porn cause erectile dysfunction?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I discovered that my penis is not properly getting hard during sex or while masturbating, and I highly doubt that it can be caused by porn, but I am not sure. Please help.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

First of all, you should know about a proper erection. Hardness does not mean that the penis should get as hard as a bone. Penis is made up of sponge-like regions that are engorged and erected when filled with blood. The hardness should be sufficient enough for penetration. If you can penetrate your partner, there is no problem, irrespective of how hard it is. If the penis is so flaccid that you cannot penetrate, there is a problem. So the solution is that both of you stop measuring the amount of hardness and should focus on the pleasure of lovemaking. Focus on foreplay more than penetration. Enjoy the moments of togetherness rather than worrying about an erection. If you have no health issues, especially heart-related disorders, you may use Tadalafil 10 mg one hour before sex whenever required.

Kindly consult a specialist, talk with them, and take the medications with their consent.

I hope this information will help.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for your replyI know how hard it gets. But the problem is that erection time is too low And this tadalafil 10 mg is for one time only? And is it viagra?

Please help.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com

I read your query and understand your concern.

It is different from viagra. Viagra is sildinafil cirtrate. Tafalafil is a longer acting medicine , once taken it's beneficial effect last upto 2 days.

I hope this addresses your concerns.

Please feel free to follow up if you need any additional clarification.

Thank you.
