Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I think my husband may have erectile dysfunction (ED). I need to speak to a doctor about this, as many times during sex he is unable to get an erection, and it has become extremely worrisome for us.
Please help.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
According to your complaints, you may be suffering from erectile dysfunction (ED).
The possible reasons include stress due to work, family issues, or night duties, for which regular exercise and yoga are recommended.
To evaluate the cause, certain investigations may be required, such as:
Penile Doppler.
Ultrasound of the pelvis and scrotum.
Blood pressure monitoring.
Random blood sugar (RBS).
Thyroid profile including Free T3 (triiodothyronine), T4 (thyroxine), and TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone), and testosterone levels.
Lifestyle modifications are strongly advised. Regular exercise and a balanced diet can make a significant difference.
Helpful exercises include Kegels, squats, yoga, running, or brisk walking for at least five minutes daily.
Specific workouts such as planks, push-ups, mountain climbers, glute bridges, bicep curls, pull-ups, jump squats, and walking lunges may also help improve stamina and performance.
A nutritious diet including strawberries, apples, avocados, sweet potatoes, sesame seeds, almonds, garlic, and a small amount of dark chocolate is recommended.
For temporary relief, Mildfil (Tadalafil) 5 mg twice a day may be used, but only under the supervision of a doctor to ensure safety.
I hope this has helped you. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with him or her, and take the medicines with their consent.
Please feel free to contact me again if you have further queries.
Thank you.
