Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I just wanted to ask I have a condition called bromhidrosis. I do not have excessive sweating but my feet tend to smell lot even when I have washed it and dried it off. I have foot odor and do not know the main cause of it. I have tried every product medically or non-medical ones but nothing is working. It is affecting my life daily and I feel embarrassed wherever I go even with my friends and family. Therefore, I have stopped going to places. I need your help with this.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Excessive sweating is always associated with feet odor or it can be due to hormones and bacterial reaction. Obesity, diabetes, thyroid, etc., also will cause this. As you are overweight must check thyroid and diabetes. Sometimes, it is natural and not associated with any disease. You can try Aldry lotion (Aluminium Chlorohydrate) which has anti-sweating property. Use deodorants and perfumes. Avoid fatty and spicy food and also avoid tight shoes and occlusive socks. Botox (Botulinum toxin) is one of the most popular treatments nowadays. We inject this over feet which cause sweat glands paralysis and totally stops the sweating and so odor.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
