Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My fiancée has a wheatish skin tone. Could you suggest some skin-brightening or whitening treatments suitable for her? What type of creams or face washes, or body washes can she use for fairer skin? How long will it take for the skin to get a fairer tone? Please give your suggestions.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thanks for writing in, and I understand your concern. I suggest using Ahaglow (aloe vera and Glycolic acid gel) face wash twice a day for atleast two weeks. Skin tone can improve in two to six weeks. Tablet Limcee (Ascorbic acid) 500 mg once a day after breakfast for 30 days. Use photostable sunscreen daily at 9 AM, 12 PM, and 3 PM for two months. Kojic (Kojic acid) soap for bath for two months. Cetaphil moisturizing cream after bath for three weeks. Avoid direct sun. Use sun protection measures. Wear broad-brimmed hats. I hope this has helped you. Best regards.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply. Could you please suggest some facials? Which is the better facial, normal facial or hydra facial? Can you also suggest any skin whitening or brightening treatments and how frequently should do it? Are the results appreciable? Please help.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I suggest hydra facial, as it will rejuvenate skin and will make it soft. It will deep cleanse and exfoliate the skin, and will improve skin tone and texture. Once in a month is a good option. Home facials like yogurt or honey or banana can be used as facials at home. Cetaphil skin lightening cream is a good option to make skin bright. Increase intake of vitamin C and vitamin A-rich foods or fruits in the diet. Eat berries, oranges, avocados, papaya, carrots, etc. Eat fresh fruits and green vegetables. Exercise daily for 30 minutes. Stay hydrated. Drink seven to eight glasses of water daily. Use sunscreen. Moisturize skin daily. I hope you find the reply useful. Regards.
