Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
In the USG scan report, I have a mildly coarsened echotexture with grade 1 fatty liver, and in the blood test, VLDL and triglyceride results look abnormal, so my doctor suggested taking another blood test, like LKMA, ANA, Western blot, immunoglobulins, etc. For around three years, I had discomfort in my upper right stomach.
Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I can understand your concern.
I am very sorry about your medical condition, and I am glad that you are paying attention to changes in your body system. But do not worry. I am here to take care of you. Regarding your symptoms and some laboratory result figures, I believe you have fatty liver disease, possibly grade 1, which means your liver has accumulated a lot of fatty tissue.
Do you eat a lot of fatty foods? Are your eyes yellow? Any vomiting? Your doctor said you should run an ANA (antinuclear antibody test), a Western blot, and an immunoglobulin, as he wants to know if the fatty liver is connected to autoimmune disease or related to infection like HIV (human immunodeficiency virus).
Please add a liver function test and reply to me with the results. Anyway, I will advise you to reduce fatty foods, exercise regularly, and eat a lot of fruits and vegetables.
For a pharmaceutical therapy, please take one tablet of Atorvastatin 10 mg orally, once a day for one month.
I hope this information will help you.
Kindly follow up if you have any further concerns.
Thank you.
