Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My friend has fluorosis. Due to fluorosis, she does not have confidence in herself. She is not able to talk freely. Can it be cured permanently? Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

In general, there are two treatment plans for fluorosis. One is veneering, where thin flakes of teeth-colored material are attached to the original teeth up to the smile line, that is, the front upper and lower teeth, which is generally visible when we talk or smile. The other is capping with teeth color material, where teeth will be first trimmed slightly from all sides so that the caps fit in properly, or composite layering can also be done.

Both are almost the same, but veneering will be a bit costlier as far as I know, though I still cannot tell you the exact pricing because it differs from doctor to doctor and from place to place. The treatment plan depends upon the patient's comfort and choice and the type of treatment with which the patient's oral cavity can cope. I hope it helps.

Thank you and take care.
