Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 30-year-old female. I have tried conceiving two times. The first time I got my menstrual cycle after 42 days and the second time on the correct date. After that, I underwent sonography and the reports revealed that three eggs have been released, all three of which are undersized. I have done hormone tests and everything was normal. Could you give me suggestions to improve the quality of my follicles?

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

As per the attachment (attachment removed to protect the patient’s identity), you have done an ultrasound only once on the eleventh day, but I would suggest you do a follicular study on alternate days till the ovulation. A series of follicular studies helps us see how the follicles are growing and whether the dominant follicle is forming or not. I would suggest you do a follicular study for two months and have regular intercourse around the ovulation time. If this does not give the results, you can go for ovulation induction.

Have you done basic investigations like thyroid profiles and ultrasonogram? Has your husband undergone semen analysis?

Thank you.
