Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a biological female, 18 years old, approximately five feet five inches tall, and weighs around 90 pounds. Every time I drink milk, I feel nauseous and experience stomach discomfort. Could this be lactose intolerance? Additionally, whenever I eat eggs, I feel like vomiting and have similar stomach discomfort as I do with milk. Could I also have an intolerance to eggs? Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to iCliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
I am very sorry about your medical condition, and I appreciate that you are paying attention to changes in your body. However, do not worry, I am here to help you. Based on your symptoms, I strongly believe you may have developed an acute allergic disorder due to a reaction to a specific protein found in eggs or milk. To prevent further discomfort, I recommend avoiding eggs and milk for now. Additionally, you may take Famotidine 300 mg orally twice daily for one week, Gaviscon (antacid syrup) 20 mL orally three times daily for one week, and Hyoscine butyl bromide (antispasmodic) 10 mg twice daily for one week to help manage your symptoms.
I hope you are satisfied with my answer. For further queries, you can consult me at iCliniq.
Thank you.
