Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My baby is feeding on formula milk. But she often chokes while drinking formula milk. We have increased the scoops of formula milk. She has been peeing a lot and she has not passed the stools since then. Is the formula not suiting her stomach? Should I be concerned?
Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I went through your query and understood your concern.
It seems the child is having reflux issues. I suggest you get the child evaluated physically by a specialist doctor for the same. Further management will depend on a physical examination by the doctor. It may also be possible that the child is too hungry and is unable to sustain the current intake as most of it is water. You can also correct the dilution and see how things shape out. Also, it is normal for children below the age of six months to pass stools either 10 to 20 times a day or once in two to three days. No treatment is required in such cases. Treatment is only required when there is documented fever, lethargy, or refusal to feed.
I hope this has helped you.
Thanks and regards.
