How to manage pain due to funiculitis?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been diagnosed with edema with minimal inflammatory changes. This is suggestive of funiculitis (bilateral). I have been getting on-and-off pain for the last two months. Kindly suggest me some Siddha medicine and in how much time I will become pain free?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

I am very sorry about your medical condition, and I am glad that you are paying attention to changes in your body system. But do not worry. I am here to take care of you.

Funiculitis, which refers to inflammation of the spermatic cord, can cause pain and swelling. Since your diagnosis mentions minimal inflammatory changes, managing the symptoms effectively with holistic approaches like Siddha medicine may be helpful concerning your condition.

I advise you to do the following:

Take the following Siddha medications:

  1. Amukkara Chooranam (Ashwagandha powder) to reduce inflammation and pain.

  2. Take two to three grams with warm milk before bedtime.

Kindly consult a specialist doctor, talk with them, and take medications with their consent.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.
