Hi doctor,
Above the left scrotum, I have a little swelling in my spermatic cord (where the cord and scrotum meet), which is written as mild left funiculitis in the ultrasound report. I have visited a urologist, and he advised me to take Signoflam and Clasitil 500 mg, which I have taken for two weeks, but there is not much improvement. Sometimes the pain goes, but usually, there is a little pain in the swelling area. When I sit, it increases. Kindly suggest to me what this is I am going through and its cure. Please help.

I understand your concern. What is your age? Considering you are a middle-aged male, nondiabetic, with no urinary symptoms, and developed a funiculitis with pain and swelling. I suggest you get USG (ultrasonography) of KUB (kidney, ureter, and bladder X-ray), and X-ray of KUB. I could see them (attachments are hidden to protect the patient's identity), but the scrotal USG report could not be downloaded. Also, investigate urine analysis. Usually for funiculitis pain decreases, but swelling takes more than three weeks to settle. Take tablets Augmentin Duo (Amoxicillin and Clavulanic acid) twice, tablet Tamsulosin 0.2 mg at bedtime for seven days, tablet Signoflam (Aceclofenac, Paracetamol, and Serratopeptidase) for pain. Use scrotal support in the form of sportswear or langot. Give it some more time, it will settle down. If symptoms are persistent, we shall discuss them again.
