Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am 22 years old and have been experiencing bloating only after dinner for the past two days. Today is the second day, and I am feeling much worse with bloating and nausea. I have never had constipation or stomach issues before. I am also wondering why I do not feel bloated after breakfast or lunch.
Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and understood your concern.
From the information you provided, it seems you have bloating after dinner, meaning at night. Our digestive tract slows down a bit at night, along with slowed metabolism, which could be why you only feel it after dinner.
Also, for the same reason, if you eat too much or eat too much spicy or fatty food, this could lead to dyspepsia. Eating quickly, lying down soon after dinner, or having carbonated drinks can also make bloating feel worse. Do you also have vomiting or abdominal pain? Are you nearing your period?
It could also be due to gastritis, or it could be something else, like the beginning of food poisoning or even cholecystitis. However, I need a bit more detail to identify the exact cause. Please provide me with the details so that we can clearly diagnose your condition.
An anti-ulcer medication like Omeprazole and an antiemetic can help with your symptoms. Also, let me know if symptoms worsen or do not improve.
I hope you are satisfied with my answer. For further queries, you can consult me at iCliniq.
Thank you.
