Can GERD cause throat lump and ear pain?

I have had gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) for several years, but lately, I have been experiencing a strange sensation in my throat like something is stuck, even when I am not eating. I have also developed frequent ear aches without any signs of infection. I am worried that my GERD might be causing referred pain or possibly affecting areas beyond my esophagus. Could these symptoms indicate a complication like esophageal strictures or laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR)? What diagnostic steps would you recommend?

Tablets Clarithromycin (macrolide antibiotic) 500 mg to be taken orally, twice a day for one week.
