Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have been experiencing hair fall for the past four years and have tried various hair products, but the issue remains unresolved. Recently, I consulted a doctor who suggested using Hair 4U Minoxidil 10 percent solution. I have been using it for the last four months, and while it initially worked well, I am now facing scalp issues, including white patches, itching, and pimples. Previously, I did not experience hair fall when I lived in a farming area for 20 years and used boring water, but after moving to the city for education, the issue began. I contacted my doctor online, and they recommended using Momate lotion. I would like to know if it is safe and effective to use Momate lotion for these issues, whether I can use both Minoxidil and Momate lotion at the same time, and how I can resolve this issue without worsening my hair fall, as my hair fall resumes within two days of stopping Minoxidil. Please advise us on how to proceed.

Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I can understand your concern.
It is difficult to comment on the nature of the hair fall you are experiencing without the relevant history. Minoxidil (Rogaine) is usually prescribed for androgenetic alopecia and needs to be continued for years; if you stop using it, hair fall will resume. Minoxidil use can sometimes cause irritation, bumpiness, and flakiness on the scalp, so switching to alcohol-free preparations may help. Momate can be used along with Minoxidil without major issues, but it is not recommended for long-term use. Additionally, incorporating anti-dandruff shampoos into your current treatment regimen may be beneficial.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
