What are the ways to manage hair fall?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been facing a hair fall issue lately, losing nearly 150 hairs per day. The point is my hairline is not disturbed even a little, and my hair volume has not decreased by more than 50 percent in a year. Kindly help stop this hair fall or regain it. What should I do? Which hair oil would you recommend?

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

Do not worry; I am here to take care of you. Based on your symptoms, it appears you may have developed androgenic alopecia (hair loss), possibly due to a decrease in testosterone level (the male sex hormone that regulates the development of male reproductive tissues and secondary sexual traits.).

Apply topical 1 percent Minoxidil cream (hair growth medication) twice daily for one month. If your symptoms persist, schedule another follow-up appointment for further evaluation.

I hope I have answered your question.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards.
