Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

The hair follicles are coming out and I am afraid of the hair loss. It is getting worse and worse. Kindly recommend to me which shampoos and conditioners to use.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

The causes of hall fall can be due to the following reasons:

  1. 100 to 150 hair falls every day is very normal. So it should be considered hair fall if the number of hair is more than this.
  2. Generalized hair falls in females are mostly due to stress, poor sleep, poor nutrition, and excessive blood loss due to menstruation.
  3. Stress alopecia is also common in which female keeps their hair very tight in a certain manner which creates tension in the root and causes hair fall.
  4. Straightening and other procedures also cause weakness in the root
  5. Other conditions like fever, typhoid, malaria, thyroid, etc also cause hair fall.

The treatment includes:

  1. Have good sleep, food, green vegetables, and fruits.
  2. Take iron and multivitamins like the tablet Follihair for at least three months.
  3. Check your blood hemoglobin, if it is less, iron and folic acid supplements should be started.
  4. Check thyroid and diabetes to rule out other causes.

Thank you for consulting me.
