Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a 33-year-old female. My major problem is hair fall, and I am losing 20 to 25 strands of hair just like that.
Please help.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
You may be experiencing chronic telogen effluvium. Hair fall of up to 50 to 60 strands per day is considered normal, but excessive hair loss is often caused by nutritional deficiencies. It is important to maintain your hemoglobin level above 12 g/dL. Are you currently taking any biotin-containing hair supplements? You should also include dates, fresh vegetables, and fruits rich in iron in your daily diet. Have you had any severe illness recently, or do you have issues such as dandruff or irregular periods? A change in water source can also be associated with hair loss.
Please get a complete blood count (CBC) test done and share the report for further evaluation, serum ferritin, vitamin D3 level, vitamin B12, T3 (triiodothyronine), T4 (thyroxine), and TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone). Because of water changes, pollution, and stress, all are having hair fall problems. Please start on one tablet of Follihair once a day after food and one tablet of Zincofer once a day in the morning after food. Use pure coconut oil.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am taking a healthy and well-balanced diet only. I am not taking any vitamins. Should I take biotin? I am taking fruits and vegetables every day. No period problems, nor severe illness. No water change, but slight dandruff is there. I think being home and thinking too much causes stress. Last time you prescribed me Tricofol-W. I started but discontinued by mistake. Due to the pandemic, we avoid going out, and visiting your clinic or taking a test is difficult for me.
Please help.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
Yes, everybody has stress-related hair fall. Please continue using Tricofol W or Tricogro or Trichoton forte, any one daily for three months.
I hope this helps.
