Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been suffering from headaches and pains in my head and neck for almost two months now. I originally thought it all came from a back injury that caused a lot of anxiety as I have an anxiety disorder. I was even treated for a sinus infection because it has been so long since the headaches started. I am looking to see how I should go about treating this and if it is something I should be worried about.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand that you had a back injury, which you feel has been causing headache and neck pain. I agree with you, a back injury can lead to neck pains, which can give a feeling of a referred headache. The best way to fix this would be to see an orthopedic specialist. They will then examine you and if necessary, run tests to see if indeed the back injury is the cause of your headache. Coming to the question, could this headache and neck pain be caused by a problem in your eye, again I would say it is possible. But you would definitely be experiencing eye-related symptoms like eye redness, watering, pain, blurred vision, etc. A headache or neck pain caused due to an eye problem with no eye-related symptoms is quite a rare scenario. In my opinion, the best way to treat this headache is to find its cause which would mean seeing the orthopedic, ENT or ophthalmologist. The most common cause of headache in the patients who come to see me in my clinic is sinus disease.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
