Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am an 18-year-old female and have not grown taller since I was 12. My whole family is extremely tall yet I have not grown. My short stature is affecting my life greatly and I need help to change it. Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and the information that you have provided. It appears that you are at a normal stature according to your age and compared with girls your age on a growth chart. Maybe your family members are taller than you but as long as you are normal that is of prime importance. I am sorry to inform you that you are affected by this normal stature. I would suggest that this is of minor significance. I am sure you must be having some qualities or features, which your other family members might not be possessing and you should be proud of yourself for everything you have. There are girls who are not even having the luxury of being in your stature but they carry on well with their lives proudly and without letting these external appearances come in between them and their goals. I would suggest that you must learn to like yourself and be proud of it. If there was something abnormal something could be done about it but what is already normal nothing can be done about that. I hope you learn to accept the person that you are.
Thank you.
