Hypermelanosis is otherwise known as hyperpigmentation. It is a condition where the patches of the skin become darker than the normal surrounding skin. This condition occurs when there is excess melanin deposition on the skin. It is managed by chemical peeling, laser therapy, dermabrasion, or microdermabrasion.
