Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I recently went to the doctor due to hyperpigmentation under my eyes. They told me it was allergic shiners. My question is, how do I get rid of the pigmentation? I am currently taking Cetrizine and Fluticasone Propionate.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Avoid steroid use. Attach a clinical picture to assess so I can guide you accordingly.

Regards.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Can you be more specific, and what is the best way to treat hyperpigmentation?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

It is hyperpigmentation due to atopic dermatitis.

1. Apply Kojic cream at night for 20 days.

2. Apply 20 percent Aziderm (Azelaic Acid) cream in the daytime for 20 days.

3. Tablet Limcee (Vitamin C) 500 mg once a day after breakfast for 30 days.

4. Tablet Antoxid HC (Antioxidant) once daily after dinner for 30 days.

5. Use photostable sunscreen lotion daily at 9 am, 12 pm, and 3 pm for two months.

6. Apply Cetaphil cream 30 minutes before sunscreen application once in the daytime.

7. Wash your face with Ahaglow face wash twice daily for 20 days.

8. Avoid direct sunlight.

9. Drink seven to eight glasses of water daily.

10. Eat oranges, berries, carrots, papaya, mango, muskmelon, and avocado.

11. Avoid stress.

12. Avoid steroid application.

13. Avoid rubbing of lesion vigorously.

Be gentle.
