Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My face is too dark than my body. It is not because of sun exposure or tan. Also, my face is producing too much oil nowadays. Because of that, my face looks too dull. So I am adding everything to my diet rich in vitamin C and drinking a lot of water.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

As per the history provided, skin hyperpigmentation on facial skin depends on multiple factors, including genetics, sun exposure, medications used, skincare routine being followed, stress, sleep deprivation, and climatic factors. Therefore, my advice would be to follow a skincare routine for sun tanning, oily skin and undergo procedures for skin brightening for the same. My advice. Use Ethiglo face wash twice daily. Apply, massage in gentle circular motions, and wash off in one minute. They will help with pigmentation and reduce the skin's oil secretion. Dermaco vitamin C serum to be applied after using a face wash. Apply four to five drops of the product in the skin, gently massage it, and let it absorb for one minute. EC Glow G cream (Glutathione) to be used only at night after the serum, in a very thin layer to be applied. Take a very small quantity of the product and apply it all over your facial skin. Sunstop gold sunscreen gel with SPF (sun protection factor) 50 to be applied in the morning after using the serum. Apply a teaspoon quantity, massage, and repeat application every two hours from 9 AM to 5 PM as sunscreen loses its efficacy every two hours. 9 AM to 5 PM is when the ultraviolet rays are more during the day, and application during the same will help prevent further hyperpigmentation. Take Capsule Evion (vitamin E) 400 mg once daily after food at night for two months. Take Tablet Limcee chewable 500 mg (ascorbic acid tablet) to be taken twice daily after breakfast and after dinner. Glutathione injections also help with skin brightening, which is done one to two times a week for ten sessions. Kindly consult a Dermatologist in person for more details of the treatment and for undergoing the procedures. You may also be prescribed oral Glutathione medications for the same following the sessions for maintaining them. Facial chemical peels are also a good procedure helping with hyperpigmentation of skin which is done in at least six sessions, for which direct consultation with a Dermatologist may be advised as well. Skin tone may be improved through a skincare routine, but it takes time; therefore, following the above treatments is key. Continue to eat healthily, and consume more fruits, vegetables, and water. Avoid too much sun exposure and use sunscreens and physical protectants like caps, shades and full sleeve t-shirts to protect yourself from the sun. I hope I could be of help. Stay happy, healthy, and safe.
