Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am six weeks pregnant now, and I am 35 years old. I took a TVS six days ago during the fifth week, and the doctor could only see the sac in the uterus. My hcg also increased from 363 to 1582 within four4four days. Is everything going well with my body? I have hypothyroidism (TSH99), and the thyroid antibodies present in my body are around 1000 iu/ml. Is this a serious condition? I am taking Thyronorm 75 mg daily in the morning on an empty stomach. Will my thyroid come back to normal in a week? Will it affect my fetal growth? The doctor has asked me to come one month later, on the ninth week. Will everything go well with my body till then? I have had back pain and upper leg pain for the past two days. I feel nauseous sometimes and have tenderness in my breast. I also feel fatigued every day. My concern is why the doctor called me in the ninth month for a heartbeat scan. Why is the scan not taken at the sixth week, when the heartbeat can be seen? Is there anything wrong with my thyroid, and the doctor is waiting for it to see whether it is getting aborted automatically? I have also been prescribed 75 mg of aspirin. Will this prevent me from having a miscarriage? I need this baby. Please help. What should I do?
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and can understand your concern.
It may be that the heartbeat was not available, so the gynecologist (women's health and childbirth specialist) told you to repeat after two months, and for a thyroid level of 9 ml U/L, which is high, you have to change the dose with the opinion of an endocrinologist (hormone specialist), and it can come down to normal within one week.
I hope this helps.
