Impedance Audiometry

"Impedance audiometry is an accurate method for examining the middle ear. It helps in determining the status of the tympanic membrane and middle ear using tympanometry. It also helps in the evaluation of acoustic reflex pathways. It is done by placing a probe tube into the ear. The entry of air remains completely blocked during this test. This test is completely painless.
