Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
The query is related to my wife, she is five months pregnant, and the note was indicated on her recent anatomy scan report. Our next appointment is too far away, and the wait is really killing us and making us worry and anxious every moment.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I would like to know some clinical details about your wife:
1. What symptoms exactly is she having, and since when?
2. For which symptoms CT or MRI brain was recommended and done?

Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Thank you doctor.
My wife is having normal pregnancy symptoms. This was identified on the routine anatomy scan at 19W1D. We have a follow-up appointment on the 26th for another anatomy scan with a fetal specialist who will review the details again and see if it is resolved by itself. An MRI has not been suggested yet. Is this finding at 20 weeks pregnancy normal - or are there any complications that we should be worried about? Everything else on the anatomy scan was normal - including the size of the skull, the size of the ventricles, etc. But do you see this finding can cause any complications or will most likely resolve by itself in the upcoming weeks?
Also, is it possible for us to have a tele discussion?
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
So this finding is for the fetus and possibly ultrasound finding. Right?
Initially, I thought that it was an MRI finding of your wife's brain (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity).
If all other parameters (size of the ventricle) are fine, this can be a simple structural variant.
I doubt that MRI will be able to differentiate between normal fetal choroid plexus and normal choroid plexus with small ventricular hemorrhage.
I suggest you discuss it with a fetal specialist.
