Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a 27-year-old female, and I am unmarried. I have had irregular bleeding without periods for many months. My periods last for five to six days but now occur every month. I am worried about irregular bleeding.
Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and can understand your concern.
The cause of irregular bleeding may be due to a polyp over the mouth of the uterus or cervical inflammation that is cervicitis, or it may also occur due to endometriosis.
Please get an ultrasound of your abdomen done to rule out the possibilities.
Also, get a pap smear done. This kind of bleeding usually occurs due to organic causes, which must be examined physically. However, please do not ignore such bleeding between your periods, which may indicate some internal problem that must be considered and treated.
I hope this helps.
Thank you and take care.
