Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 24-year-old female experiencing irritable bowel syndrome, as well as symptoms of food intolerance and allergies that are triggered by certain foods. I have excessive gas, constipation, nausea, diarrhea, bloating, and abdominal discomfort. To alleviate some of the symptoms, I use medications like Gasgon, heartburn medications, and detox teas. The symptoms do not occur every day, but when they do, it becomes extremely difficult to continue with my daily tasks. Although I have never been formally diagnosed, I have experienced these symptoms for as long as I can remember.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

The symptoms you mentioned could be indicative of irritable bowel syndrome. To confirm the diagnosis, you can undergo an endoscopy. To help manage these symptoms, I recommend the following:

  1. Incorporate more fruits into your diet, such as bananas, papayas, and cucumbers, daily. This can assist with constipation.

  2. Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids and reduce your intake of spicy foods.

I suggest you take tablet Pantoprazole 40 mg once before breakfast for five days. However, it is important to consult a specialist doctor, discuss your situation with them, and take the medication with their consent. If the symptoms persist, it would be advisable to consult a gastroenterologist. Please let me know if your eating habits have improved.

Thank you

I hope your queries are resolved and any further queries are welcome.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
