Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I am suffering from severe abdominal discomfort and loss of appetite. My mouth stinks and has the feeling of burning.
What has happened to me?
And what medications would you prefer?
Please advise.
Thank you.
Hello
Welcome to icliniq.com
I understand your concern and will definitely help you with it.
All your symptoms fit into the description of a disease known as IBS (irritable bowel syndrome). It is a clinical diagnosis, and no investigations are required to diagnose it. Also, it is a functional disorder, so that is why there will be nothing significant in any of the investigations, no matter how many investigations you undergo.
This condition is due to anxiety. Anxiety causes digestive disturbances via the gut-brain axis. You will need three months of treatment with Rifaximine 550 twice daily; Tab Placeda (Flupentixol (0.5 milligram) and Melitracen (10 milligram)) 1 tab BD (twice a day); and Tab Pantoprazole Levosulpiride once a day.
Take this treatment for two weeks, and you will feel much better. Further treatment modification will be done after two weeks of treatment. Nothing to worry about; you will be fine with this treatment. But complete treatment for this condition is for three months. After three months, you will be completely cured.
Hope this helps.
Kindly revert back in case of further queries.
Thank you.
