Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query and can understand your concern.

I am very sorry about your medical condition, and I am glad you are paying attention to changes in your body system. But do not be worried. I am here to take care of you. There is itching only at night, affecting the hands and legs, and multiple family members have it. Here are the most likely reasons.

Scabies is caused by tiny mites that burrow in the skin. The classic signs are intense itching at night and small bumps or thin lines in the skin folds (between fingers, wrists, elbows, waist, thighs). It spreads easily through close contact, shared bedding, or clothes.

In bed bugs or mites in bedding, bites appear in clusters or rows, usually on exposed skin such as arms and legs. There is more itching at night since they bite when you are sleeping. So I will advise on the following to help out. Check for signs of scabies, such as burrow lines or small bumps between fingers, wrists, or groin. Use Permethrin cream twice daily for one month.

  1. Follow bedding hygiene.

  2. Wash sheets, blankets, and clothes in hot water weekly, and sun-dry them if possible.

  3. Apply fragrance-free moisturizer or petroleum jelly after showers.

  4. Avoid very hot water.

  5. For anti-itch relief, use Calamine lotion and an antihistamine at night.

I hope this answers your query.

Let me know if I need to assist you further.

Thank you.
