Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had a cornea transplant in my right eye a few years ago. Currently, I have a peppery feeling in the eye, itching, a little pain, and sometimes pus-like discharge. What medications or eye drop is best for my situation?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Here are a few general tips that might help alleviate your symptoms:

  1. Keep the eye area clean: Gently clean the eye using a clean, soft cloth and warm water. Avoid rubbing or scratching the eye.
  2. Use saline solution: You may try using over-the-counter sterile saline solution to rinse your eye gently. This can help remove any debris or irritants.
  3. Artificial tears: Over-the-counter artificial tears, without preservatives, may provide temporary relief from dryness and discomfort. Make sure to choose a brand suitable for use with contact lenses if applicable.

However, it is important to remember that these suggestions are not meant to replace hospital visits, I strongly recommend reaching out to an eye care professional as soon as possible to get a proper diagnosis and receive appropriate treatment.

I hope it helps.
