Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Two months ago, I felt my upper front teeth clicking on, pushing my tongue against them. It generally happens when I eat, but not all the time. After a few days, this feeling resolved, and the symptoms reappeared two weeks ago. My last dental cleaning was three months ago, I was informed that my gums were in good health, other than a couple of four-millimeter pockets. Last week, I consulted my dentist about the symptoms, but he could not find any issues or the need to take an X-ray to investigate further. I do not have a habit of clenching or grinding, the doctor said it was possible I slept with my tongue pushed against my teeth. I have been experiencing anxiety for the past few months, and I am hyper-aware of this sensation. I feel tempted to check whether my tooth has loosened. I am regularly taking multivitamins. What is the cause of my concern? Will the symptoms resolve by itself? Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com

I have read the query, and I can understand your concern.

When we sleep at night sometimes constantly push our teeth with our tongue. You mentioned pockets, but as you have good oral health, it is nothing but a feeling of loosening teeth. The mouth feels larger and wider in the morning hours. This feeling is normal, and you are noticing it now.

I hope this will help you.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
