Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My 1 year old baby is having a white thin line surrounding the black area in the eyeball in the left eye and the white part is little red.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

From the pictures you have sent (attachment removed to protect patient identity), there are two possible diagnoses. One can be keratitis (marginal keratitis) and other can br allergic conjunctivitis. Although I feel this is more a picture of keratitis. I suggest starting Vigamox eye drops (Moxifloxacin) four to six times a day along with Homide (Homatropine) eye drops daily. Also, Tobramycin eye drops three times daily. Consult an ophthalmologist nearby, discuss with him or her and start taking the medicines with their consent. Please do follow up with me after the visit. For more information consult an eye care ophthalmologist online.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
