Keratometry

Keratometry refers to the measurement of the curvature of the anterior corneal surface. This measurement is used to assess the extent and axis of astigmatism. It is performed using an instrument called the keratometer, also known as an ophthalmometer. Besides keratometers, automated instruments like corneal topographers and autorefractors are used to provide keratometry readings.
