What is the treatment for abnormal sensations in the leg?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been experiencing these really uncomfortable leg sensations that feel like vibrations are running throughout my legs and have not been successful in finding a treatment for it. When I was in the hospital I was given muscle relaxants which gave me short-term relief. I am wondering if I can pick up any kind of muscle relaxants from GNC and take them in hopes of getting some relief. Or is there a specific kind I should take? Kindly suggest.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I suggest you get physically examined and investigated to rule out any medical conditions and treat them accordingly. Avoid stress, strain, exertion, rigorous exercise, and lifting heavy weights. Get tests like hemogram, blood sugar, BP (blood pressure), ultrasound abdomen, CT (computed tomography) scan, calcium, and B2 levels checked. Maintain proper posture. Physiotherapy will also help. I hope this helps you.

Thank you.
