Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I feel a small lump in my neck behind the lower end of the sternomastoid muscle. I have felt it six months ago, and it has never changed. I have a mobile little mass of less than one centimeter. I fear it is a big thing, and I think I am obsessed with having cancer. I had no other symptoms. I am entirely healthy, but this lump concerns me. What to do?
Thanks.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
I think you have lipoma. Your fear of mass being nasopharyngeal cancer is far from it. If the mass is more than two centimeters, let them do a fine needle aspiration biopsy. Kindly schedule another appointment with me for a follow-up with the result.
I hope this information will help you.
Thanks.
