How to get rid of period cramps?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have cramp-like stomach pain, back pain, and leg pain but my period is delayed. What to do?

Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query.

It seems you have developed malaria with delayed menses. I suggest you do a prothrombin time (PT) test. If negative, then you take the following:

1. Tablet Acetaminophen (Paracetamol) 500 mg thrice daily.

2. Tablet Omeprazole (antacid) 40 mg twice daily.

3. Capsule Piroxicam (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug) 40 mg.

4. Capsule Co-Amoxiclav (Amoxicillin and Clavulanic acid) 625 mg twice daily.

5. Tablet Norethisterone (progestin) 5 mg.

6. Apply a good analgesic ointment at pain sites twice daily.

Kindly consult a specialist, talk with them, and take medicines with their consent.

Hope it helps.

Thanks and regards.
